I am an expert in gender studies. I graduated in Educational Sciences at the University of Genoa, in Italy, with a thesis about virtual communities and e-learning in the third sector and related financing EU programmes. I obtained a Ph.D. in Educational Sciences at Université Paris X Nanterre, Paris, France, with a thesis titled: “Women, men and computers. Stories of how a positive relationship has developed”. I followed a specialization course on violence prevention with a special focus on women and children (University of Oulu, Finland).

Gender studies are interdisciplinary by definition, my areas of expertise include gender and technology, gender in higher education, gender and adult education, gender and social care.

I am member at the Laboratoire LEGS- Laboratoire d’études de genre et de sexualité, CNRS/Université Paris 8 Vincennes Saint-Denis et Université Paris Ouest and have been working as a project manager and as a consultant for a number of private and public organisations.

Since 1998 I have been working as project manager in more than 30 international projects, where social, technology, health experts and working groups had to interact and collaborate under her coordination.

From September 2016 to August 2017 I have been Visiting Research Fellow at the School of Politics, International Studies and Philosophy of Queen’s University Belfast.

Since September 2018 I am a MSCA Fellow at TCGEL, Trinity Centre for Gender Equality and Leadership, Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland.

I published in Italian, English, French and Portuguese and spoke at conferences at worldwide level.

Mi sono sempre occupata di formazione e progettazione nel settore dell’apprendimento non formale e informale degli adulti. Negli ultimi anni mi sono concentrata sugli studi di genere e sulla discriminazione in base all’età adulta/anziana nell’uso delle tecnologie.

Mi interessa promuovere pratiche inclusive e combattere gli atteggiamenti e le pratiche discriminatorie.

Ho collaborato e collaboro con numerosi enti pubblici e privati, fra cui il Servizio Politiche Attive del Lavoro della Provincia di Genova, il Réseau International des Cités des métiers, l’Università RomaTre, il Trinity College a Dublino.

Dopo aver fatto parte dell’Equipe « Genre, Savoirs et Education » all’Université Paris Ouest Nanterre La Défense, dal gennaio 2015 sono membro del laboratorio LEGS  Laboratoire d’études sur le genre et la sexualité (UMR 8238 CNRS/Université Paris 8 Vincennes Saint-Denis et Université Paris Ouest).

Experte d’éducation non formelle et informelle des adultes et de formation à distance, je m’intéresse particulièrement à la manière dont les stéréotypes peuvent influencer l’utilisation de la technologie par les femmes et les hommes.
